Police issue warning after man lures girl

Fort Frances OPP is warning the public to be aware of a sexual assault suspect who may be targeting young children.
Shortly after 9 a.m. yesterday, police said a man approached a young girl at the corner of First Street East and Victoria Avenue.
The suspect tried to initiate a conversation with the victim before touching her in an inappropriate manner, police added.
The suspect was described as a white male in his 20s. He was wearing a dark blue or green ski jacket, toque, and carrying a packsack at the time of the incident.
Police are asking that anyone with information regarding this incident to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
The OPP also would like to remind young people that they should never talk to strangers, always walk in groups, and be aware of their surroundings.
