The Fort Frances Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police is currently investigating an assault that took place early today near the Mohawk Gas Station on King’s Highway.
At approximately 3 a.m., police responded to a call of an injured male at that location.
The victim was transported to the La Verendrye Hospital where he is being treated for a non-life threatening injuries.
The scene is currently being secured by police and the investigation is continuing assisted by Rainy River District detachment Crime Unit and the North West Region Forensic Identification Unit.
