Pilot makes emergency landing

the OPP

Dryden OPP officers received a report Sunday of a 1975 Cessna 152M in distress about 12 km north of Vermilion Bay.
The pilot, a 22-year-old Quebec man, was forced to make an emergency landing.
Officers arrived and learned the pilot had stopped to fuel up in Sioux Lookout.
Upon take-off, the plane seemed to lose power but then was fine.
The pilot was about 20 km from the landing strip in Vermilion Bay and thought he could make it, but then decided to land on McIntosh Road.
He did clip some trees on the landing but landed without injury.
The pilot was on his way to Yellowknife.
