Riverside Health Care is pleased to announce expanded physiotherapy services at both the Emo and Rainy River Health Centres.
Novo-Peak Health Inc. has been providing physiotherapy services to the residents of Rainycrest Long-Term Care in Fort Frances since Dec. 1.
It is experienced in the provision of physiotherapy to seniors in a variety of settings, including long-term care homes, retirement homes, and in the community.
Effective the week of Feb. 20, they will expand their services to provide physiotherapy to the long-term care residents at the Emo and Rainy River Health Centres.
Effective immediately, Riverside will begin accepting out-patient physiotherapy referrals for the Rainy River Health Centre.
Clients meeting the following eligibility criteria will qualify for publicly-funded physiotherapy services:
•be referred by a physician or nurse practitioner based on the findings of an assessment that the person requires physiotherapy services.
They also must be:
•an OHIP-insured person under the Health Insurance Act, and age 19 or younger or 65 and older; or
•an OHIP-insured person under the Health Insurance Act recently discharged as an in-patient of a hospital and in need of physiotherapy clinic services that are directly connected to the condition, illness, or injury for which the person was admitted to the hospital.
People also are eligible for funding of services under the Ontario Disability Support or Ontario Works programs.
To access publicly-funded physiotherapy services, ask your physician to complete a referral and send it to the physiotherapy department at La Verendrye General Hospital, where your name will be added to the wait list for Rainy River out-patient physiotherapy services.

Novo-Peak also will provide service to those with personal insurance, WSIB, extended health benefits, or who wish to pay out of pocket.
