Phone service at several district health care facilities is back to normal after being knocked out of commission for a few hours yesterday.
Road reconstruction work in the area of La Verendrye Hospital here resulted in a main phone line being accidently severed around noon.
Due to the fact Riverside Health Care Facilities, Inc. has a combined phone system, service to Rainycrest and the health centres in Emo and Rainy River was affected.
Phone service to La Verendrye was not affected, however.
Service to the Emo and Rainy River health centres was restored within a couple of hours while service to Rainycrest was out until about 4:30 p.m.
