Pair charged with assault

A two-month police investigation into allegations of assault has resulted in charges against two health care aides.
Fort Frances OPP officers, along with the assistance of the OPP’s Northwest Region Crime Unit, have investigated allegations of assault on two residents at a local long-term care facility.
Ellen Gibson, 23, of Fort Frances is charged with three counts of assault while Donna Butera, 46, of Fort Frances is charged with one count of assault.
Both were released from custody on a promise to appear in court on May 20.
