While on patrol last Wednesday, members of the Rainy River District OPP recovered a vehicle—previously reported stolen by the Timmins City Police Service—abandoned in the parking lot of the Country Corner Café on Highway 11 in Stratton.
Police spoke to area residences and eye witnesses, who reported that they saw two young males hitchhiking in the area where police located vehicle.
The males are described as Caucasian, both tall, one had black hair and the other light colour hair, and one had a light blue jacket with a hood.
They had a cardboard sign that read “we don’t bite” and a black guitar case with a peace symbol attached.
Police are asking for public assistance in the event they observed the two males or have any further information that may assist in solving this incident.
