A member of the OPP from the North West Region was arrested and charged with two counts of assault on May 2 after the OPP received a complaint following two domestic incidents.
The incidents, which occurred April 29 and 30, were investigated by members of the OPP’s North West Region.
The officer, who was off duty at the time of the incidents, has seven years’ service with the OPP.
He has been released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court in Fort Frances on June 7.
The name and detachment of the police officer involved is not being released in order to protect the identity of the victim of the domestic incident.
