OPP called to bar fight

Press Release

Police responded to a call from the Adventure Inn staff regarding a fight occurring in the bar area on Saturday around 2:15 a.m.
Upon arrival, officers helped to disperse the crowd of patrons who had been involved in an altercation.
One male was taken into police custody to prevent a further breach of the peace after it was determined he was responsible for instigating aggressive behaviour inside the bar.
Meanwhile, a resident was awakened at 3 a.m. on Sunday to find a male at her door ringing the doorbell and trying to gain entry to her house.
She contacted the OPP and officers immediately attended to find an intoxicated male at the rear of the residence.

He was charged with public intoxication.
Finally, Rainy River District OPP was notified of a found paddle boat in the area of the Great Bear gas station in Watten Township.
The boat, found on a road near the business, is described as a blue plastic boat with the word “Pelican” displayed.
