‘Ooey Gooey’ lady to visit

Lisa Murphy will be coming to La Place Rendez-Vous here for a workshop on Saturday, Aug. 6.
As the “Ooey Gooey” lady, Murphy presents more than 150 workshops each year to audiences across the country on various topics related to early childhood education, specifically how to be more play-based in the classroom.
She has been featured in various publications, including “Child Care Business Exchange,” “Parents,” and “Pre-K Today.”
Murphy also has authored four books and has created dozens of teacher training DVDs.
Her standing-room only seminars have become nationally-known for their information, humour, inspiration, and energetic delivery.
This event, running from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. and aimed at all service providers of young children, is free thanks to the Rainy River District Best Start Network and its partners.
