No progress had been reported, as of press time this morning, in the child abduction case involving James Nordrum Jr. of Brookston, Mn.
The St. Louis County Attorney’s Office issued an arrest warrant for the 41-year-old man accused of abducting his seven-year-old son, Wyatt, last week.
A state-wide alert was issued last Tuesday alleging the boy was abducted by his father after James Nordrum failed to attend a court hearing where he was supposed to turn Wyatt over to his mother, Candice Nordrum, who is originally from Fort Frances.
The two parents have been involved in a custody battle since January, 2011, with both receiving sole custody at various times through court orders.
In the court hearing last Tuesday, attorneys for both parents reached an agreement to give custody back to the mother.
