The local Husky gas station temporarily will stop selling fuel beginning next week when ground breaks on a renovation project.
New pumps are planned, meaning customers eventually will be able to select their desired fuel grade.
A pay-at-the-pump system is on the way, as well.
Underground fuel lines also will be replaced during the construction, which is planned for Aug. 16-Sept. 30.
“As far as I know, they’re digging through the concrete and pulling up the lines and that’s what’s going to take the time,” said Husky owner Tina Selman.
The Husky convenience store will remain open 24 hours a day throughout the fuel shutdown.
