No drugs found at Fort High

While students and the public may have been wondering what the OPP was doing at the high school last Thursday afternoon with a drug-sniffing K-9 unit, police said it simply was a “pro-active measure.”
“No charges were laid and no drugs were found,” Fort Frances OPP Cst. Al MacDonald said Friday. “It was very successful.”
Cst. MacDonald noted police periodically check on the high school, and weren’t tipped off or called in in this instance.
“We’re letting the kids know there’s zero tolerance for drugs,” he stressed.
“It’s really a co-operative effort between the police, the school, and the students—they want a safe environment, too,” he added.
