No charges to be laid inThunder Brawl

No charges were laid in connection with the bench-clearing brawl that occurred Feb. 22 at the end of a game between the Borderland Thunder and Dryden Ice Dogs at the Ice for Kids Arena.
“The investigation is concluded and no charges are being laid,” said Fort Frances OPP Cst. Caroline Spencer.
Statements were taken from both Thunder head coach Dave Allison and Dryden coach Larry Wintoneak, but Cst. Spencer could not divulge if any players had been questioned.
“We can’t comment on the investigation process,” she noted.
But Cst. Spencer did say two videotapes offering different points of perspective of the melee were handed to police and “were looked at” by the those handling the case.
