NEXUS lane at Falls to open Monday

Press Release

U.S. Customs and Border Protection has announced the opening of the NEXUS lane, effective Monday (Dec. 15), at the International Falls port of entry.
The NEXUS lane will operate between 6:30 a.m. and 8 a.m. (CST) seven days a week.
The NEXUS program allows pre-screened, low-risk travellers to be processed with little or no delay by U.S. and Canadian officials at designated highway lanes at high-volume border crossings.
Approved applicants are issued a photo-identification/proximity card. Participants will present their NEXUS card and make a declaration.
They are then released—unless chosen for a selective or random secondary referral.
To participate, both the U.S. and Canada must approve an individual’s application. Denial of an application by either country will keep an individual from participating in the NEXUS program.
NEXUS is a harmonized program and applicants need to complete only a single application form. This form can be mailed or faxed.
Qualified applicants are required to come to a NEXUS enrolment center only once, for an interview and issuance of a photo-identification card.
Additional NEXUS information also can be obtained online at www.cbp.gov or by calling toll-free 1-866-NEXUS-26.
The NEXUS enrolment center in International Falls is open by appointment only by calling 1-218-283-8630.
