If you’re craving the European cuisine of La Flambée here, you’d better have reservations already the restaurant was full up with reservations as of yesterday.
For those thinking of lakeside dining and dancing, La Place Rendez-Vous’ dining room and lounge also are fully booked.
But there’s still hope for those who haven’t decided on plans yet.
The third-annual New Year’s Eve “Black and White Ball,” a semi-formal affair, is slated at the Red Dog Inn. The evening includes a buffet dinner, dance, party favours, and a chance to win a prize valued at $500 (which you must be present to win).
Tickets cost $35 per person, and they must be purchased in advance at the Red Dog Inn.
Meanwhile, those in the mood for a prime rib dinner, surf and turf, or Chicken Oscar still can make reservations at Emidio’s Garden Restaurant.
The meals include a choice of soups, salad, assorted breads, and toucha for dipping. Party favours and complimentary champagne also are included.
There are still spaces open for the two seatings at 5 and 7 p.m. The evening will be a black-tie affair.

Local bands “Unity” and “Inside Out” will provide the entertainment, with party favours and an after-midnight snack to top off the night.
Anybody looking to “cut a rug” might want to look into the New Year’s Eve dance at the local Royal Canadian Legion. It will begin at 9 p.m., with music to be provided by “Milestone.”
Tickets cost $15 each or $25 per couple, which includes party favours and a luncheon after midnight. Tickets are still available at the Legion but they’re going fast.
