In light of our region moving into the Red–Control level of the provincial COVID-19 Response Framework, Riverside has updated our Long-Term Care (LTC) Visitation policy and procedure. These temporary changes are effectively immediately.
- All short term and temporary absences are cancelled. The only exception is resident absences for medical appointments.
- All general visits are cancelled.
- All residents are permitted ONLY one (1) designated caregiver. Caregivers require one (1) PCR and one (1) Rapid Test within a 7-day period (on non-consecutive days). If a caregiver enters a home only once per week only one (1) test is required.
- Essential or palliative visitors will continue to be permitted.
At this time, there are no changes to visitor restrictions for our Acute Care/Hospital facilities.
While we recognize these restrictions are challenging, we ask for your understanding as we navigate these changes, in order to ensure that they are made in accordance with Ministry guidelines and that the health and safety of all remains at the forefront. As the COVID-19 pandemic evolves, we continue to urge everyone to follow provincial framework restrictions.
