New teen section at public library

Looking for something to do this summer?
The Fort Frances Public Library has created a new teen centre upstairs and will be offering an exciting lineup of programs for those entering Grades 8-10 throughout the summer.
To start things off, the first teen event will be a “CD and DVD Swap” at the library this Monday (July 10) at 2 p.m.
Bring in any CDs or DVDs you are willing to share and earn points to borrow from someone else.
Five points will be awarded for every CD or DVD you bring in, and these points can be used to take home one item in exchange.
A new item (less than a year old) will earn you 10 points and allow you take home two CDs or DVDs.
The more you bring in, the more you can take out!
These will be signed out to you, and should be returned to the library by July 31 so we can get them back to their owners!
Interested in learning some beauty tips? Then come out to the library and learn how to enhance your natural beauty with the lovely ladies from Bombshell!
More details will follow!
Then on Aug. 14, the library will be holding its very first “Amazing Race,” complete with challenges and roadblocks!
This exciting event will have you and your team trekking around Fort Frances and collecting clues as you try to beat the other teams and win the grand prize!
Drop in at the library and have a look at the new chairs, books, and magazines in the teen centre! Also, stay tuned for more details on our programs this summer!
