New Gold Inc. is pleased to announce it has closed its previously-announced bought deal financing of 61,640,000 common shares, including the exercise in full by the underwriters of the over-allotment option, at a price of $2.80 (U.S.) per share.
That translates into aggregate gross proceeds to New Gold of roughly $173 million (U.S.)
New Gold intends to use the net proceeds from the offering to finance the completion of the construction of its Rainy River Project north of Barwick.
The offering was made through a syndicate of underwriters led by RBC Capital Markets and Scotiabank.
It also includes CIBC Capital Markets, J.P. Morgan, TD Securities Inc., BMO Capital Markets, Merrill Lynch Canada Inc., Desjardins Securities Inc., National Bank Financial Inc., Paradigm Capital Inc., Credit Suisse Securities (Canada) Inc., Eight Capital, and GMP Securities L.P.
The offering was completed by way of a short form prospectus in all of the provinces and territories of Canada.
It was registered in the United States pursuant to a registration statement on Form F10, as amended, in accordance with the Multijurisdictional Disclosure System established between Canada and the U.S.
