New events added to ‘Spring Fever’

Spring Fever Days get underway tomorrow (Thursday) and the Emo Chamber of Commerce has added some new events just before the festivities kick off.
On Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the tennis courts, local skateboarders will put on a demonstration to raise money for a new skateboard park.
Also Saturday from 8-10:30 a.m., go-carts will be on display at the Christian Reformed Church. From there, they’ll move to the Borderland Esso parking lot until 4 p.m.
Meanwhile, it’s been announced the Hair and Body Care Shoppe’s fifth-annual “Cuts for Cancer” has three brave volunteers willing to “shave their heads to the max”—Glenda Grennier, Stewart Firth, and Trevor Allen.
The CIBC will have face-painting for children Saturday from noon to 2 p.m.
And the Kenora Armories display at Big Red equipment building now will be held both Friday and Saturday.
