‘Music in the Gallery’ slated Friday

The Fine Line Art Gallery will hold its eighth year-end open house this Friday with “Music in the Gallery.”
The evening starts at 7 p.m. and will feature the music of the Borderland Ensemble.
“Everybody really enjoys themselves when we have this,” said Jean Richards, a partner in the art gallery co-op. “The sing-along is always a good time.”
She noted the open house also is a good chance to do some Christmas shopping as artwork accumulated over the past year, including the work of local artist Donna Cannon, who recently re-joined the co-op after a five-year break, will be on sale.
Tickets for the open house cost $8 each and are on sale now at the gallery (529 Mowat Ave.) Refreshments will be served.
In other gallery news, Linda Lovisa’s watercolour classes started today and will run through Nov. 26. Workshops will be held both in the afternoon and evening.
Lovisa also will lead Christmas wreath-making workshops from Nov. 14-16. For more information on either of these, call Lovisa at 274-4227.
And looking further on down the road, entry forms for the “Wild and Wooly” exhibit this spring are still available at the gallery. The cost is $10.
One entry only, but there’s no restrictions on size. These must be submitted by March 29.
This exhibit will run April 11-May 3.
