With the exception of an egg-colouring workshop this Friday (March 16), March Break activities at the Fort Frances Museum were cancelled due to the low enrolment.
In an e-mail to the Times, museum curator Sherry George noted the workshops planned for Monday through Thursday drew only one or two registrants, which was not enough to warrant holding them.
However, as mentioned, “Food colouring . . . using real foods to create dyes,” will go ahead on Friday from 1-3 p.m.
Kids will use coffee, cabbage, beets, onions, and turmeric to colour eggs just as their pioneer ancestors would have done.
The cost is $3.60 per child, and be sure to wear clothes suitable to the activity.
