Bay City Contracting began work on the intersection of Sixth Street and Portage Avenue yesterday morning.
This work will last for an estimated 15 days.
As a result, Sixth Street is closed to through traffic from McKenzie Avenue to Walker Avenue while Portage Avenue is closed from Sixth Street to Eighth Street.
In related news, Bay City Contracting started work at the intersection of Second Street East and Portage Avenue on Tuesday.
This will continue for about a 10-day period.
As a result, Second Street has been closed to through traffic from Victoria Avenue to Mowat Avenue.
As well, Portage Avenue is closed from Third Street to First Street.
Traffic control signage has been installed to re-route traffic in both areas.
