Moffat Family Fund applications now open

By Times Staff

The Town of Fort Frances is now accepting applications for portions of the $101,000 allotment the municipality has received for this year’s Moffat Family Fund grant.

Managed by the Winnipeg Foundation, the Moffat Family Fund’s primary goal is to support and advance the economic, social, physical and intellectual well-being of children and families, consistent with the vision and mission of the Moffat Family Fund.

On the town’s website, they’ve outlined the features of a potentially successful application to the fund.

“Clearly aligns with the Moffat Family Fund’s primary goal of advancing the economic, social, physical, and intellectual wellbeing of children and families; Minimizes administrative fees to ensure the greatest possible impact of funding; Demonstrates thoughtful consideration of the total funding available and the needs of other applicants within the Town,” the town’s website lists.

“For previous recipients, includes the completion of all required reporting documentation.”

Registered charitable organizations within Fort Frances are welcomed to submit project proposals and applications for funding from Jan. 29 until Feb. 27.

Organizations which are not registered charities may partner in formal agreements with local registered charities to be able to avail of funding from the Moffat Family Fund.
