Mischiefs reported over weekend

OPP officers were kept busy on the weekend investigating numerous reports of vandalism which occurred Friday night and the early-morning hours of Saturday.
The culprits went along Colonization Road West in Fort Frances, and Highway 602 in Alberton, damaging mailboxes as well as street and highways signs.
In total, 16 mailboxes were damaged.
In related news, three other incidents of vandalism were reported in the downtown area of Fort Frances.
During the early-morning hours of Saturday someone pulled two trees from a planter on the 200 block of Scott Street and turned over two picnic tables.
As well, some planters were overturned at the greenhouse in the parking lot at Safeway.
Meanwhile, a birdfeeder was taken from the front steps of a home on the 600 block of First Street and thrown onto a car parked on the street nearby.
All of these occurrences remain under investigation.
