Tonight’s council meeting will include a public hearing to consider a tax adjustment for the AbitibiBowater mill complex.
The mill is seeking an adjustment to its 2010 taxes resulting from the demolition of the co-gen diesel pumphouse building and fuel oil storage building.
The agenda also includes an application from the Fort Frances Native Urban Wahkaihganun Corp. for a zoning bylaw amendment.
The application is to amend the zoning for lands proposed to be severed from 1038 and 1040 York Ave. and fronting Eighth Street West.
The request is to re-zone the lands from Residential Type Two (R2) to Residential Type Four (R4) to accommodate the construction of a 10-unit residential complex and permit the use of the property for multi-residential use.
A public meeting regarding the zoning amendment is scheduled for Oct. 12.
