Milk nets prize for student

When Brendan Cawston opened his carton of milk at school recently, he didn’t get milk—he got a snowboard.
The grade four student at St. Francis School heard a “moo” when he opened the carton and knew right away he was a winner in the “Moo You Win” contest.
Local dairy farmer Arnold Kaemingh, representing the Dairy Farmers of Ontario, presented Cawston, nine, with the $500 prize in class last Thursday.
Only 100 snowboards were awarded as prizes in the Ontario contest, with the odds of winning being one-in-180,000.
The grand prize of the contest is a car. Other prizes include phones, mini-disc players, and lift tickets.
Cawston also received a voucher for the milk missing from his carton.
