Prior to taking the position, he worked for the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board for 18 years in a variety of roles, including elementary and secondary teacher, mathematics consultant, vice-principal, elementary and secondary principal, and superintendent of education.

“Their dedication to education has made me a better person and leader.
“I want to thank trustees, staff, and community members for making my experience with the board so rewarding and memorable,” he added.
“The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board will be served very well with the hiring of Jack McMaster as the director of education,” said Dan Belluz, chair of the Rainy River District School Board.
“He brings to them a great deal of experience and knowledge in education, and has demonstrated a strong commitment to student achievement,” he noted.
