Frank Maraj’s new book has finally arrived and is currently on sale at different locations in Fort Frances and Emo. Titled “Snapshots of Life: The Story of Pinnie and Bella,” Maraj takes the readers on a journey to a fictional island.

The book costs $29.99 and can be purchased from the Fort Frances Chiropractic Centre, Lidkea Optometry, Pharmasave, Northwoods Gallery and Gifts, Betty’s of Fort Frances and Cloverleaf Grocery in Emo.

In a novel that took Maraj six years to write, it explores different philosophies and cultures. It also reveals the inequities that follow when basic human decency is sacrificed at the altar of wealth, power and privilege.

The events of the book take place in the 1960’s in a fictional country called Trinida. The story line revolves around two teenagers, Pinnie and Bella, who meet in the final year of high school. They become deeply attracted to each other but are then tested while navigating through the storm that is life.

Maraj is a teacher and an author in the Rainy River District. This is his fourth book and first fiction novel. His first three publications were memoirs about his life.
