Kenora OPP received a call Sunday from Totem Lodge in Sioux Narrows reporting that one of its employees had not shown up for work.
He could not be located and was reported as missing.
Kenora OPP officers and the Emergency Response Team responded and began a search of the area.
The 23-year-old St. Catharine’s man was located in the water near the shore.
In other news, there also has been a number of thefts in the Sioux Narrows area, including one instance where a quantity of cash was stolen from the cash register of a local business.
Police also have received complaints of camps being entered, although it was unknown at the time in anything was stolen.
Police remind the public that alcohol, electronic items, and firearms often are targeted by those responsible for thefts.
Residents are reminded to take appropriate actions to protect their property.
