Man charged in robbery

A 21-year-old man is facing several charges in connection with a robbery at the East End Confectionery on Scott Street Wednesday night.
The store was entered by a lone male at 9:50 p.m., who brandished a knife at the clerk, police said.
The man then fled the store but he was apprehended and arrested a short time later, police added.
The man was charged with robbery, disguise with intent to commit crime, and wielding a dangerous weapon.
He has been remanded into custody, and will appear in court at a later date.
No other details were available at press time.
Meanwhile, police are investigating reports of mischief at Fort Frances High School and the Clover Valley Farmers’ Market. Police said “tagging” (graffiti) was discovered at both buildings and then reported.
