The Fort Frances Times is looking for children’s letters to Santa, and will have a “mailbox” at the Fort Frances Museum this Saturday to collect those wish lists.
The Times is getting ready to publish its annual Christmas Greetings edition on Dec. 18. If you would like your child’s letter to Santa to be included, we need it by Wednesday, Dec. 11.
Meanwhile, anyone who is downtown for the “Festival of Frost” this Saturday can drop by the museum courtyard between 1-3 p.m. and give their letters to the wooden snowman holding the “Letters to Santa” mailbox.
“I love getting letters from children,” Santa told the Times earlier this week.
“Not only are they fun to read, but how else would I find out what they want to find under the tree when they wake up on Christmas morning?
“I heard that some of the popular toys are Big Hugs Elmo, Lead Pad Ultra, Lego, Disney Infinity, Skylanders, and Xbox One,” Santa added.
“But I really want children to write me and tell me themselves.
“The reindeer also enjoy it when I read them children’s letters during those practice flights leading up to Christmas Eve,” said the jolly elf.
If you miss your chance to mail your letters this Saturday, stop by the Fort Frances Times’ office before Dec. 11.
Those who can’t make it to the office can mail their letters to the Fort Frances Times at 116 First St. E., Fort Frances, Ont., P9A 1K2.
Children also can send their wish lists via e-mail at santa@fortfrances.com or by clicking on the “Letters to Santa” icon at www.fftimes.com
