A new face will be heading up the local campus of Confederation College as current manager Don Lovisa is re-locating to Thunder Bay.
Lovisa has accepted the position of director of the School of Access and Literacy at Confederation College, and is expected to move there in August.
His new job includes keeping track of all regional campuses, as well as the distancing education and continuing education programs.
“I’m very excited. It’s a brand new portfolio at the college and a senior level position,” Lovisa said Friday morning.
A Fort Frances native, Lovisa has spent the last 14 years at the local college campus. He said he is very attached to both the people he works with and the community.
“It’s the people aspect that I am going to miss—the people and the relationships here,” he remarked.
“But I’m not going to be that far away,” he added.
There’s no word yet on who will replace Lovisa here.
