With the Riverside Foundation for Health Care celebrating its 20th year, its annual “Canada Day Cash Lottery” will feature more chances than ever to win.
“For our 20th anniversary, we are doing a bigger ‘Canada Day Cash’ than we ever have,” said Foundation director Samantha Manty.
“We’re doing 20 prizes valued at a total of over $20,000 for our 20th anniversary,” she noted.
“We’re thanking our donors for 20 years of support, and giving back to them in a new and interesting way.”
She explained there still will be the same amount of tickets to be solid at the same prices as in the past–$20 each, three for $50, or seven for $100–but there will be many more chances to win.
And as in previous years, every ticket is eligible to win every prize–one ticket is like having 20.
“So there are lots of chances to win for a $20 donation,” enthused Manty.
“I’m excited about it this year.”
Tickets are available starting this week at the Fort Frances Times’ office, McTaggarts, From the Grind Up, Taggs, and Green’s Brand Source in Fort Frances, as well as at Tompkins Home Hardware in Emo.
They’re also available at La Verendrye Hospital, the Emo and Rainy River Health Centres, and Rainycrest.
Foundation volunteers also will be selling them during “Spring Fever Days” in Emo tomorrow through Saturday, as well as at the Fort Frances Chamber of Commerce’s 2017 Business & Community Expo this Friday and Saturday at the curling club.
A mail-out also is being sent to area residents this week.
The early-bird prize is a fly-in fishing trip for two courtesy of the Manitou Weather Station and Fishing Lodge (two nights/three days, all inclusive).
This will be drawn on May 18 at 7 p.m. at the Flint House.
The other 19 prizes include:
•a grand prize of $10,000;
•a second-place prize of $2,000;
•two third-place prizes of $1,000;
•five $500 prizes;
•five $250 prizes; and
•five $100 prizes.
These will be drawn on Canada Day.
