The Alcohol & Gaming Commission of Ontario is planning an information session here in April and local charities are encouraged to express interest now as to whether they’d like to attend.
This session—tentatively slated for Wednesday, April 18— only will be held if a sufficient number of charities sign up, Fort Frances clerk Glenn Treftlin stressed this morning.
He added AGCO reps are going to be here anyway for a meeting with town administration on April 19.
As such, the town is requesting charities interested in attending to register prior to Wednesday, March 7. They can do so at the information desk at the Civic Centre.
Treftlin said the meeting would be an opportunity for charities to ask questions about lottery licensing requirements, for example.
