It’s finally a reality—the Rainy River Locum House is up, operating, and occupied.
There still is some landscaping and exterior work to finish when warm weather finally arrives, but our communities have succeeded in making this dream a reality.
Congratulations to all those hard-working volunteers.
But our fundraising efforts are not over. The committee continues to operate canteens at events like the Rainy River trade show earlier this month and the upcoming auction sale at Willie Almers in Rainy River this Saturday (May 25).
Another event being planned is a community garage sale later this summer (a firm date later).
If you have any suitable items you’d like to donate, like household goods, furniture, toys, tools, seasonal items, etc. (no clothing please), call Melanie Murray at 852-3308 or Carolyn Kreger at 852-2886 for details.
Drop-offs will be Mondays at noon, with location and dates from Murray and Kreger.
