The Rainy River District OPP is reminding residents to lock up their property and vehicles to help reduce crime.
Police responded to the report of an attempted break-and-enter occurring sometime between June 28-30.
Culprit(s) tried to gain entry to a residence on the 300 block of Second Street East in Fort Frances.
Police noted pry marks were evident but no entry was gained.
On the night of July 4, culprit(s) gained entry and stole small tools from a shed on the 1200 block of Third Street East in Fort Frances.
Police noted there was an unsuccessful attempt to pry open a padlock.
The individual(s) responsible then searched through a boat located on the same property.
Meanwhile, on July 9 between 10:30 a.m.-7 p.m., culprit(s) entered an unlocked garage on Government Road in Rainy River.
The owners discovered the theft when they returned to the garage to lock the building for the night.
A police investigation revealed roughly 300-400 pounds of scrap copper wire and piping had been stolen.
