A number of local residents ended up running by the “giant” in Thunder Bay over the weekend.
The group was headlined by Meghan Spooner and Shelley Sisco, who completed the full marathon.
Spooner finished 26th overall in a time of 4:29:26 while Sisco was 38th (5:00:04).
In the half-marathon, Emo’s Dennis Ogilvie finished in 1:34:53 for 21st overall and fourth of 24 in his age group.
Jason Kabel, meanwhile, completed the course in 1:48:57 to finish 77th overall and 15th out of 39 in his age group.
Cindy McKinnon finished in 2:04:31, good for 13th of 35 in her age group and 121st overall, while Natasha Shack was 45th of 90 in her age group, and 133rd overall, with a time of 2:08:29.
Jennifer Cooper (2:21:13) was 207th overall, and 47th of 62 in her age group, while Robyn Dennis (2:24:22) finished 221st overall and 52nd of 62 in her age group.
In the half-marathon walk, Margaret Gosselin crossed the line in 3:08:18 for an 11th-place finish, though ended up fifth of eight in her age division.
