Local man wins $1 million

Local firefighter William McKinnon, widely known as Hugh, won $1 million on the Encore draw last Friday night.
McKinnon bought his ticket at Sparky’s Confectionery here, and was in Toronto today to claim his prize.
The 56-year-old married father of two said he likely will retire and use the money to pay for his children’s education.
