Local man killed by vehicle

4 September 2007

The Fort Frances OPP is investigating a motor vehicle accident early Saturday morning that killed a Couchiching First Nation resident.
Police said Richard Morrisseau Jr., 26, had been lying on Highway 11 (Mill Road) in Fort Frances at 3:10 a.m. on Saturday when a 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe fatally struck him.
The driver of the vehicle and three friends, all from Illinois, were uninjured in the collision, police added. The four had just entered Canada on their way to a week-long fishing trip.
Foul play is not suspected, police said.
