Local Liberals elect executive

Press Release

The Kenora-Rainy River Provincial Liberal Association held its annual general meeting on Jan. 17 in Dryden.
Local members elected a new executive representing communities throughout the riding.
The objectives of the Kenora-Rainy River Provincial Liberal Association include:
•promoting Liberal principles and policies;
•providing a means for forwarding the opinions of members to the leader and the Ontario Liberal Party; and
•to organize and elect Liberal members to the Legislative Assembly of Ontario.
“By reaching out to the many diverse communities in Kenora-Rainy River, and creating networks from the Far North to the Minnesota border, we can build an association that connects us,” said newly-elected riding president Anthony Leek of Emo.
“Technology has advanced to the point where our reach is greatly expanded and we need to allow people the opportunity to contact us,” he stressed.
Local residents are invited to check out the riding association’s new website—www.krr.ridingassociation.org—to read Ontario Liberal Party news, purchase a membership, make a donation, or contact the association.
