Little Theatre to meet

Fort Frances Little Theatre will hold a general meeting tonight (Feb. 1) at 7:30 p.m. in the boardroom at the Family and Children’s Services office here to discuss projects for the upcoming year.
“The theatre group has lots of ideas and plenty simmering on the back burner, but it’s time to get these projects on their feet,” noted longtime member Cathy Richards.
She stressed new members are needed and are encouraged to attend tonight’s meeting.
Two of the projects the troupe is looking at for this year are a “High School Reunion” and the musical, “Nunsense.”
With the reunion idea, some of the “seasoned” actors would play the adults, with flashbacks from the past played by younger actors as themselves, Richards explained.
“A group a writers will take on the task of putting a skeletal script and then the show will be ready to improvise,” she noted.
Meanwhile, since “Nunsense” is a musical, the troupe would be looking for people with singing talents, as well as acting ones.
“Anyone interested in singing, and wearing a habit and singing, is encouraged to come on out,” Richards enthused.
“A New Year’s Eve show could be ready to go at the drop of a hat, and we just need the actors to start the process,” she stressed.
