Karen Connelly is an award-winning author spanning the genres of poetry, fiction, and non-fiction.
Her writing explores topics of language, life in other cultures, dissident politics, sexuality, and trauma.
Connelly’s work includes the acclaimed novel, “The Lizard Cage,” winner of Britain’s Orange Broadband New Writers Prize, and “Burmese Lessons: A love story,” nominated for the Governor General’s Award and the B.C. National Award for Canadian Non-Fiction.
And “Touch the Dragon” won the Governor General’s Award.
She also has won the Pat Lowther Award for Poetry.
The Fort Frances Public Library Technology Centre will host a reading by Connelly this Thursday (April 16) at 6:30 p.m.
