After chairing the “Re-Inventing Fort Frances” committee since its inception last year, Janis Lesko has decided to leave the group and move to Kenora for a job with local MP Robert Nault’s office.
“We received her resignation yesterday,” said Fort Frances CAO Bill Naturkach, who also sits on the committee.
“That will be processed at the next council meeting [Sept. 23], at which time the town will show appreciation for her,” he added.
Naturkach said he was informed by Lesko that she had taken a position with Nault’s constituency office in Kenora.
Who now will chair the committee will be determined at its meeting next Tuesday, Naturkach noted.
Lesko could not be reached for comment by press time today.
