Legion Ladies honoured in ceremony

On Sunday, September 18, the Fort Frances Legion Ladies Auxiliary to Branch #29 held their Honours and Awards Ceremony to present members with pins for years of service and past Officer’s medals and to recognize members with Certificates of Merit.

A total of 68 members were acknowledged with Years of Service Pins, ranging from five years to 70 years of service.

25 Year Pins were presented to Christine Eisenzoph, the late Esther Fedoruk, – accepted by her daughter Janet Fedoruk, Loretta Ivanowich, Judy Klyne, Josie Miller, Marcia Shute, June Wood

30 Year Pins were presented to Dee Ducharme, June Anderson, Sandra Bridgeman, Yvonne Chambers, Georgina Hayes, Eleanor Lockman, Barb Ogden

35 Year Pins were presented to Sandra Gosselin, Dianne Taggart

40 Year Pin were presented to Elsie Wihnan

45 Year Pin were presented to Joy Legaree

55 Year Pin were presented to Mary Holland, Alfreda Easton, Joanne Gosselin

60 Year Pin were presented to the family of the late Jean Hoffman

65 Year Pins were presented to Elaine Bone, Gwen Westover

70 Year Pins were presented to Clora McEvoy, the family of the late Verenia Zucchiatti

Past Officer’s Medals given to Josie Miller – Past President; Jane Hayes – Sgt at Arms and 2nd Vice President; the late Sandy Pruys – Sgt At Arms accepted by her husband Herman Pruys; Randi Roth – Sgt at Arms; Christina McDougall – 1st Vice President and 2nd Vice President; Irene Laing – Secretary; Tina Roth – Treasurer.
