Legion Ladies Auxiliary return to monthly meetings

The Legion Ladies Auxiliary had their last monthly meeting on Oct. 13, brought to order by President Josie Miller. It was attended by 25 members. The Charter was draped in memory of departed members Kay Latonas and Martha Rogozinski. October birthday gift – Clara Stainke. Best Wishes to Barb Ogden.

Discussion and decision to move forward with a second “deliver to your door” dinner on November 6 took place. This dinner was cutlets with all the trimmings.

A donation was made to the Halloween Trunk or Treat at the Library.

Many of the ladies got together Mon., Oct 18, Wed., Oct. 20 and Fri., Oct 22 to make lasagna upstairs at the Legion for a fund raiser. Details for purchase to be announced.

Inquiries are already coming in for meat pies which will be made in November – watch for further info.

Poppy card fundraiser is in the works for Thurs., Oct 21 upstairs at the Legion. Members wishing to help with this project came out.

Regular general meetings have resumed with the next meeting being Wed., Nov. 10th at 7:00 p.m. Upstairs in the Legion hall. Election of officers will be held. If you are interested in an executive position or would like information on what a position entails please call Alfreda Easton at 274-9105.

Covid-19 mandatory requirements that all in attendance have proof of double vaccination status. Sign in using front entrance.

Legion Ladies Auxiliary will not be holding a Remembrance Day tea this year due to Covid restrictions.
