The first meeting in 2021 for the Laverendrye General Hospital Auxiliary was held on March 1 2021.
Nine members and one guest attended virtually. President Linda Booth presided and the meeting was called to order at 1:00 pm.
The Agenda, Minutes of the previous meeting, and Treasurer’s report were all accepted as distributed.
CORRESPONDENCE: Multiple correspondence were dealt with. They included Riverside Newsletters, Christmas cards, Riverside annual report, cheque for shop purchases, Confirmation of membership to Volunteer Canada, invoices for purchases made and a Thank You card from Tayah Baduik for the bursary.
NEW BUSINESS: Linda Booth welcomed new members Jan Beazley and Susan Seiders who are the new Shop Managers as well as Holly Angus the new Foundation Representative for the Auxiliary. These new members along with Brenda Cox the new Member at Large will be installed at a future date.
A request was was received from FFHS regarding Auxiliary Bursaries for this graduation year. A motion was made and carried to provide two bursaries at $1000.00 each to be awarded to students graduating in 2021 who are pursuing a career in the Health Care Field and meet Auxiliary requirements.
A discussion was held regarding increasing the annual fees. The President and Treasurer will review and bring recommendations to the next meeting.
OLD BUSINESS: There are still vacancies on the Executive for Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary.

DIRECTOR AND COMMITTEE REPORTS:
Membership: there were two new renewals and one new member in December and three pending for shop volunteers. There are currently 185 members including Life Members. There are 41 unpaid from 2020 and 16 who have not paid for two years.
Patient Services: Kits were completed by Nursing Staff in January and February. Donations from Gillons of Fire Detectors were received and arrangements for needed baby items were completed.
Gift Shop: The gift Shop reopened the week of February 25 2021 Monday to Friday from 1 to 4. Training including Covid training is ongoing.
Anyone wishing to volunteer to work in the shop can call 274-3261 Ext 4503 between 1 and 4 Monday to Friday.
Sick and Visiting: One Sympathy card was sent in February and one Get Well card in March.
There were no reports for Advertising and Promotion, Newsletter, Lobby Lottery, or Historian.
The meeting adjourned at 2:19 pm.
Due to the fact that April 5 is Easter Monday, the next meeting will be held on April 12th.
