Knox United Church wants your vote.
All eyes are on the Aviva Community Fund website as voting started Monday for the final qualifying round for the “Knox Renewal Project,” which hopes to get funds to buy an elevator in order to “create a welcoming and inclusive space for everyone.”
Voting will continue until Nov. 25.
The next two weeks are going to be exciting “as we continue to encourage the entire community and, in fact, all those to whom we are connected with, to vote for the Knox Renewal Project,” said Bill Gushulak, who is spearheading the campaign along with his wife, Mary Jane.
Gushulak is urging the public to visit www.avivacommunityfund.org/ideas/acf19056
Once there, they are asked to register and cast their vote.
People are allowed to vote only once per day per e-mail address for a total of 15 votes each.
If enough votes are received, the Knox project will advance to the semi-final round in December.
This means Knox United will be a step closer to landing dollars from the Aviva Community Fund.
