The search is on once again for a new OPP detachment commander for Rainy River District.
Insp. John Kendrick has been transferred to Thunder Bay, where he is now the OPP’s regional director of operations support.
Insp. Kendrick came here from Thunder Bay in May, 2009 to replace former detachment commander Insp. Dave Lucas, who had relocated to Kenora in January, 2009.
Acting inspector Steve Shouldice, who has been filling in as detachment commander since October, will stay on in the role until the Fort Frances and Atikokan police services boards hire a permanent replacement.
