I am a 57-year-old Ojibway Anishinaba/Indian person. I was born in Minaki Ontario and was raised throughout the surrounding treaty 3 territory. I have been self-employed as a carpenter the majority of my life. I am happy to be raising my daughter as a single parent and fortunate to teach her many of the traditional ways. I have stood up for many years as an independent advocate for the Anishinabec lacking representation. My political and personal objectives are to create an environment of accountability to all citizens by all levels of government. Our current governing bodies lack transparency and speak of the equity while loosing all sense of fairness and equality. Laws are supposed to be created for a society in whole yet most positions of power are held to be above the law while the new laws are created to oppress average citizens. As a representative for the Kenora/Rainy River I will offer a voice of fairness and reason to those I represent.
